Family of man killed by LAPD officer who mistook plastic fork for weapon to get $5.8 million
The family of Jason Maccani, who was fatally shot by a rookie LAPD officer while experiencing a mental health crisis in February 2024, has agreed to settle a lawsuit with the city of Los Angeles.
