Body Believed To Be That Of Edmonton Woman Found In Arizona

Woman reported missing Wednesday after failing to return home.

Police in a small Arizona community have found the body of a woman matching the description of a woman from  Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, reported missing by her family.

Leslie Widynowski, 63, and husband Ken have spent the last four winters in Surprise, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix.

Last Wednesday, Ken came home from golfing and figured his wife had just popped out to the store, but when she hadn't returned by 6 p.m., he called police.

An aerial search by helicopter and a ground search of medical facilities as well as homeless and women's shelters failed to turn up leads, as have flyers plastered in her Arizona community.
